Send a TrackBack ping

This form can be used to send a trackback ping to any weblog that accepts Trackbacks. You do not need to have a Trackback system installed on your site to send a Trackback ping. Should work with: Moveable Type, MT Standalone Trackback, b2, and pMachine 2.3


TrackBack Ping URL:

Examples:
  • For MT blogs the popup window will a link in the following form:
    http://www.yoursite.com/mt/mt-tb.cgi/123
  • For pMachine Pro 2.3 the popup window will have a link in the following form:
    http://www.yoursite.com/pingserver.php?p=tb&id=123
Other blogging systems will have different formats. Cut and past the full URL shown in the trackback popup window into this box.

Entry Title:

Copy and paste in the title of your post.

Your Weblog's Name:

Enter the name of your blog.

Entry Excerpt:

This is an excerpt from your post. Max of 30 words (if longer, the text will be cut shorted and have a "..." added to the end). HTML is allowed, but make sure not to include special characters that will render incorrectly (use ASCII or HTML entities).

Your Entry's Permalink URL:

This is the permanent URL to your entry on your blog, which is referencing the post you're pinging.  If you are on Blogger (and using the default templates) the permalink is the URL shown on each entry's time stamp.  A pMachine or Moverable Type permanent link is often underneath the entry denoted by "link" or "permanent link" text. This must be a complete URL, so please include the http://.
